Finding Creative Success

Finding creative success is a weekly podcast where Matt Peet interviews successful visually creative entrepreneurs to learn what drives their success and what can be learned from their success. The guests will be people who have found success in their field whether it is photography, graphic design, videography, or motion design. Matt Peet studied Graphic design with an emphasis on photography in college and runs a startup video production company so he wants to interview people who have similar skill-sets and are truly finding creative success.

Candice started taking photographs at age six and ruined her mother’s countertop with darkroom chemicals while studying Photojournalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked as a Photojournalist for over 20 years for some of the largest publications in the country, including 11 years as a Staff Photojournalist for the Chicago Tribune, where she was a team member that won the Pulitzer Prize in 2000. She has taught Photojournalism since 2002 as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University and has photographed weddings for 7 years. She teaches wedding photographers how to capture moments, has spoken at professional seminars across America and Europe, and is the founder of the Moment-Driven Workshop.

Sam Hurd began his photography career six years ago at the National Press Club and has photographed many notable individuals, such as George Clooney, Denzel Washington, Alec Baldwin, and Michael Phelps. He began photographing weddings four years ago and left the National Press Club to pursue wedding photography full-time.
 
He is constantly developing new techniques with his photography and publicly shares many of those techniques with other photographers. Sam developed a technique known as prisming, broke a few lenses to push freelensing to new extremes, and has a few new surprises in store for 2017. He's a photographer that is always trying to grow and wants to see other photographers grow as well
